Operations and Maintenance
Active asset management plays a key role in delivering value from our assets over their lifetimes. Working with dedicated O&M partners, we work to maximise availability and output over the long term, to optimise revenues.
Greencoat UK Wind owns 6% of all UK windfarms (as at 31 December 2025). Our team of in-house senior engineers oversees all of our assets – with over 1,400 individual turbines – across the UK. Regular maintenance ensures that wind turbines are in good working order, consistent with their expected lifetimes.
During 2025, O&M operations saw:
- 589 regular safety checks carried out by the operations and maintenance service providers at all wind farms
- Safety walks by the Investment Manager’s team at 40 wind farms
- Independent health and safety audits by accredited professionals at 20 wind farms and 2 O&M partners
- HV audits at 4 wind farms
- Emergency Response Plan exercises at 5 wind farms
